Vested Law Successfully Defends Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Amazon.com, Inc., Toys “R” Us, Inc. in Patent Infringement Lawsuit
Vested Law obtains dismissal of a patent infringement lawsuit in Case No. 2:15-cv-06449-SJO-RAO, U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. The lawsuit was filed August 24, 2015 by plaintiff Rapid Funk LLC, and alleged that the manufacture, distribution and sale of CloudPets infringed United States Patent No. 8,942,637.
Rapid Funk had named as defendants Spiral Toys, the maker of CloudPets, several companies involved in the distribution of CloudPets, and retailers Amazon.com, Inc., Toys “R” Us, Inc., and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. The Defendants paid nothing to the Plaintiff.
